Ymerodres Angharad (Empress Amanda) was born in San Diego, California to the name Amanda Michelle Mason. She met Llywelyn whilst attending Hidden Valley Middle School in Escondido, California, USA. The two dated into high school and then moved apart. In her youth she participated in cheerleading. Amanda enjoys sailing, yoga, traveling, and studying world history. She graduated from the University of California Riverside in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in economics. She lived in Britain for 10 years before joining Llywelyn in Okinawa, where he had been living in exile at the time. The two rekindled their romance following Llywelyn's passport challenge to the de facto UK.
Amanda and Angharad both nearly meet the same meaning (She who is fit to be love or much loved).
